色づく表情が美しいオーヴァル皿。背面を覗くと「CREIL ET MONTEREAU」の刻印があり、シグネチャー(刻印)から推測するに、19世紀後半から20世紀前半にかけて製造されたものでしょうか。釉薬の質感や造形から推察するに1800年代後半頃に造られたものではないかと個人的に感じています。まるでオイルパステルでなぞったような線や滲みが、美しく枯れた表情をより一層際立たせ、素晴らしい気配を醸成してくれているように思います。器としては大きめではありますが、大き過ぎるいった印象はなく、食卓で大いに活躍してくれそうなサイズ感かと思います。お好きな方は是非。
This oval plate has a beautiful withered look. The back of the plate is stamped "CREIL ET MONTEREAU," and from the signature, I would guess that it was manufactured between the late 19th and early 20th century. It was made in the late 1800s, as inferred from the texture of the glaze and the shape. The lines and scars, which look like they were traced with oil pastels, accentuate the beautifully withered look and create a wonderful atmosphere. Although it is a large vessel, it does not give the impression of being too large, and it is a size that will be very useful at the dining table.
